WSOPE Final Table is Set
Officially not one high profile poker professional will win a bracelet at the WSOPE because not one is in the final nine spots. The £1 million guaranteed first prize money will go to someone new.
"The stage has been set for European poker players to continue to shine," said WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack. "Clearly, the inaugural World Series of Poker Europe has lived up to its name and promise in every respect."
As evidence of the emergence of European players can be seen all over this WSOPE event, no US player has finished with a gold bracelet and only one US player will be in the final nine. It is apparent that the global game of poker is no longer dominated by American poker players.
The final table will be the youngest Main event table to date. The ranges of players include the 18 year old Norwegian Annette Obrestad and the oldest player of the group will be Theo Jorgensen at the ripe old age of 35 years old.
The other final table participates will be:
Johannes Korsar - 20 yrs. old
James Keys - 21 years old
Oyvind Riisen - 22 years old
John Tabatabai - 22 years old
Magnus Persson - 24 years old
Dominic Kay - 30 years old
Matthew McCullough - 33 years old and the only US Player
