World Poker Dealer Championships Rules Change

A change in the registration rules for the World Poker Dealer Championships will open the game up to a lot more poker room employees. The new rule allows for individual poker room employee registration, whereas before, the game was a 'representative poker tournament' meaning that card room employees had to be sent to the game to represent their casino, or card room, rather than automatically being eligible to enter themselves. The game is now considered an "Individual Tournament" and open to all qualified poker room employees.
The historical event is hosted each year by Binions Casino, a US Casino and the original home of the World Series of Poker event (WSOP). The event includes four poker room employee only events:
Ladies Event
Dealers Only
Poker Room Supervisors
Poker Room Managers/Owners
This new change in registration requirements should bring many more players to the field, and severely increase the amount of the prize pools available to tournament winners.
