2007 WSOP down to 17 at Dinner Break.
Lee Childs currently leads the pack, with about 16 and a half million chips, just above Tuan Lam who holds onto second place with $14,945,000 in tournament chips.
In third, Lee Watkinson who we've seen near the top of the chip counts for a few days now has nearly 13 million WSOP tournament chips in his stack. The 41 year old Watkinson is not new to the WSOP, having finished second at the 2004 World Series of Poker 5k Pot-Limit Omaha Poker Event. During that same year, Watkinson made two World Poker Tour final tables in a row, heads up once against The Texas Dolly, and once against Eli Elezra.
Watkinson has also played, and cashed in the WSOP Main event before, finishing in 45th at the 2005 WSOP. Bringing in a decent cash prize of $235,390.
Watkinson's first WSOP bracelet came along with $655,746 in cash prizes at the 2006 10 Pot Limit Omaha event. He's back this year vying for his second, in the third place, and considered to be one of the biggest threats left in the field he has a decent shot of realizing that dream.
Outside of the world of Poker, Watkinson owns a rescue shelter for retired chimpanzee test subjects.
