David Bach Wins WSOP HORSE Tournament
The HORSE tournament of this year’s World Series of Poker has come to an end and with 94 players competing; it would be David Bach who would walk away with the very large first place prize. To get to the top would be a long hard battle.
Bach, a thirty seven year old poker player from Georgia, outlasted the field and John Hanson in heads up play to win $1.28 million. Hanson is a forty four year old poker player from New York and would prove to be tough competition for Bach.
Heads up play would last for almost seven hours which included breaks. The chip stack would go back and forth between the two players with heads up play beginning thirteen hours after the poker tournament started. Bach would finally gain the lead and take the win giving Hanson $789,199 for second place and Bach the million plus win.
Hanson won second place last year in the event but won a little more last year, at just over $850,000. The HORSE tournament has a $50,000 buy-in and tests players all around poker ability as it rotates through five different games.
