Many different kinds of people come to Las Vegas to compete in the World Series of Poker. This year’s Series has seen poker pros, celebrities and everyday people competing and next week event #43 will see former New York Senator and the current chairman of the Poker Players Alliance, Alfonse D’Amato competing.

D’Amato will get to the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino on Monday to hold a press conference and will take to the tables at noon. D’Amato will be competing in the Seniors No Limit Hold’em World Championship event.

The Poker Players Alliance is a non-profit organization that helps protect and fight for the rights of poker players in the United States. Hopefully D’Amato’s presence at the WSOP will bring further light to those who are trying to stop poker player’s rights to play in the United States.
