Top 36 in 2007 WSOP Main Event
In the land of make believe, where power comes in ones ability to pretend to be something they are not, some actors have been recognized there for. Now, after stellar performance, the real poker player, Tobey Maguire is finally out of the Main Event. Finishing a little short of the top 36, Maguire proved that he could play with the pros, at a game requiring him to be himself, and focus on his cards and his opponents. The skills he's acquired have been beneficial and provided him with an edge many were not taking seriously. This was Tobey Maguire's second appearance in the World Series of Poker. In 2004 he played and competed respectably, then demonstrating that it's not all just special effects and make believe in Beverly Hills.

As you can see in the top 36, there have been many recognizable names not to make it this close, and we are still what will feel like, a long way off the final table. Many of these top players are amatures; none are women, or actors. This year's competition is getting heated, with only a few rounds left until the final table, it's going to be intense to follow until the last player is busted and the 8 million dollar prize is awarded.
