WSOP Main Event Begins Airing Tonight on ESPN
ESPN is about to be every poker players favorite channel. Beginning tonight the sports giant will start airing the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event episodes. Every Tuesday a new Main Event episode will be shown. These episodes will continue until the almost live shows will be aired starting November 11th.
During the months of September and October, ESPN will show viewers the coverage from the Main Event as it narrows the playing field from 6,844 to 9. On November 4th a final table preview episode will air that will give viewers a good look at who will be playing at the Final Table for the 2008 World Series of Poker.
The nine players will return to the Rio on November 9th to play for the title. The winner will take home the $9.1 million first place prize and the WSOP gold bracelet and of course all the accolades that come with being the World Series of Poker Main Event Champion. The final table episode will air on November 11th just a short time after the winner has been named.
July 22nd was the start date for ESPN to air footage from the 2008 World Series of Poker and the viewers have been tuning in. The station is sure to have higher ratings as viewers watch their favorite and maybe not so favorite players competing for the November Nine.
