Winner of 2007 WSOP Event 48 - Rafi Amit
Mark Bartlog who started as short stack at final table finished in 6th place winning $27,068. It pays to make it to the final table! Eugene Ji took 5th place after losing an all in hand to Lellouche and went all out winning $41,504! This takes it down to the final four with Lenny Martin having the chip stack with 515,000, Rafi Amit still in second with 465,000, Jon Shoreman with 375,000 and Antony Lellouche now being shortstacked even after eliminating Eugene Ji with only 130,000 left in chips.
Jon Shoreman was the next player to be eliminated in fourth place, taken out by Lenny Martin. The pot Lenny won when taking Jon out gave him nearly double his two opponents chips added together with a whopping 1,000,000 in chips! At this point, Rafi Amit was second in chips with 395,000 and Antony Lellouche was now the short stack with only 220,000 left.
Lellouche was taken out in third place winning $84,812 by Rafi Amit. Although this helped Rafi's stack so that going heads up he still had a chance even though Lenny Martin still held the chip stack. By the time it came to the last hand, Amit had Martin covered in chips. Rafi Amit took control of the hand right at the start, Martin would check and Amit would bet. Amit pushed Martin all in on the second draw and took it down winning $227,005 as well as a WSOP gold bracelet! For second place, Martin received a not too shabby $128,120.
